Alice appeared in the room, Kade following behind her to help her with the back of the dress. She sat in her usual chair. Kade nodded to her and backed up, standing beside the door. Alice flicked her ears. She was scared.

"don't be scared," Cai said to her. Suddenly, a trumpet blared. Cai stood up, and the prince walked in. He stood tall and walked confidently, even though his clothing was puffy and looked ridiculous.

Alice finally looked up at the prince. Her eyes widened at his outfit. She tried not to laugh. Alice nodded her head at the chef that gave her her lunch. "So.." She said, trying to start the conversation.

The prince looked at Alice, sizing her up. He was particularly interested in her ears, which were cat-like. It was very strange to him. "You are princess Alice?" He asked, although he knew the answer.
